Anna Ajtner started her education in photography 1989 at the State High School of Fine Arts in Bydgoszcz (Poland). She gained there the title of technician of art, with the specialty of arranging exhibitions. From 1993 she studied artistic pedagogy at the Fine Arts Faculty of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland). She graduated there as Master in painting. After the graduation she developed her artistic activity in the fields of painting, photography and video. Her photography is a series of portraits of her daughter Sandra. This is a project, which she continued since 2012. Daughter is the main theme of her work, her inspiration. The childhood, how she grows up, her beauty – how it have changed, her emotional states, her surroundings. This all have an impact on the final effect of Anna’s photographs. At the end, it is also capturing their relationship mother-daughter. It’s a documentary and artistic creation. Anna Ajtner hopes people can feel in what way the world affects their emotions. This is their story. Most of Anna’s photography is a black and white.
